Melanie has deep expertise in the food and beverage industry and nearly three decades of global brand building and business management experience. She is currently EVP & Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of Tyson Foods, a $53 billion food company and recognized leader in protein. Melanie leads innovation, research and development, consumer insights and analytics, category management, demand planning, marketing communications (creative, media, brand design, digital, social, influencer, shopper marketing, activations, sponsorships) corporate branding, and corporate communications across the enterprise.

In addition to her role as CGO, Melanie also recently served as Group President for the company’s Prepared Foods division, leading a more than $10 billion retail, foodservice and ecommerce portfolio, which includes beloved and category-leading brands, such as Tyson®, Jimmy Dean®, Hillshire Farm® and Ball Park®.

Melanie joined Tyson Foods in February 2023 from The Coca-Cola Company where she served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for North America. As CMO, Melanie led a multibillion-dollar brand portfolio consisting of more than 20 brands including Coca-Cola®, Sprite®, smartwater® and Minute Maid®. Prior to becoming CMO, she was the North America President of the Still Beverages Business Unit, leading the water, sports drinks, tea and coffee businesses. Melanie also worked for Reebok, a subsidiary of Adidas, serving as Global Head of Marketing and Brand Management and has held marketing and general management roles at Crayola, Kraft Foods and Henkel Consumer Goods.

Melanie also serves on the Adobe (NYSE: ADBE) board of directors, where she is a member of the
executive compensation committee. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa with concentrations in finance and marketing.
