BECA Intern, StudentPrincess Dandoo is a sophomore attending Spelman College pursuing a major in Economics, with a major in Management & Organization. She is dedicated to mentoring and supporting her community through tutoring and teaching. She currently serves as a group leader for “Midnight Riot”, a student-led organization that enhances the AUC community through service initiatives. She also tutors students K-4 in the Atlanta Public School District, through the “SPELReads”, a program aimed to close the literacy gap for students reading below grade-level. As a mentor in the Spelman Entrepreneurship Club, she advises and teaches students with entrerprenurial interests on how to best strategize their ideas into business start-ups.
Princess found her passion in the field of Marketing in 2019, through the start-up of “PIY Collections” — her eyelash brand, and the process in which she marketed it. Through her experience with her own business of creating budget plans, marketing plans, and conducting research, she’s been able to gain first-hand knowledge of what it means to market with your customer in mind. Apart from building her own brand, Princess has interned with Spelman Dining and Aramark as a Marketing Assistant to conduct research and better promote Spelman dining through a sense of community. Through this role, she gained experience in corporate event planning, budget development and cost management. Upon graduating from Spelman College, Princess plans to continue expanding her education in Business and Marketing, while mentoring minority communities on how to start and develop their own companies.
