Julius Robinson is the Chief Operations Officer for Full-Service MxM Marriott International hotels in the U.S. West. In his current role, Mr. Robinson serves as a business partner to the Group President, U.S. & Canada, overseeing 160+ Premium and Luxury hotels across 12 of the most iconic brands in travel, including the Gaylord Hotels portfolio.

Mr. Robinson’s experience in the hospitality industry spans three decades. He began his Marriott career as a part-time hourly associate in New Jersey in the early 1990s, then eventually grew into regional and global roles, including Vice President of Global Sales, Vice President of Brand Franchising, and Regional Vice President of Revenue Management for the Eastern United States.

A well-rounded leader, Mr. Robinson holds experience across Marriott’s brands, including roles as Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader for Marriott Hotels and Sheraton Hotels, which are among the largest and most global brands within Marriott’s portfolio. He has also held the Global Brand Leader position for Autograph Collection Hotels and Tribute Portfolio.

In his prior role as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer – U.S. & Canada, Mr. Robinson led the development and implementation of strategic priorities designed to yield profitable sales, increase market share, and expand competitive advantage for Marriott’s portfolio of more than 6,000 hotels in the U.S. and Canada.

An active member of the hospitality community, Mr. Robinson serves as a board member of a public restaurant company headquartered in California, as well as a board member of The Maryland Soccer Foundation, a 501c3. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC) as well as The Black Executive CMO Alliance (BECA). Mr. Robinson is also the Executive Sponsor of Marriott’s own Black Associate Resource Group.

Mr. Robinson earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University — where he became a member of the African American Alumni Hall of Fame in 2020 — and graduated with an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
